We are pleased to announce that the Prayer Book Society of Canada – Ottawa Branch has provided funding to hire the Rev. Samantha Kublu (Arviat) to digitize the Inuktitut prayer book. The current BCP was typed on a syllabics typewriter decades ago, meaning it cannot be easily shared online or copied and pasted into service booklets. The PBSC’s innovative Common Prayer Canada app already contains the psalms, canticles, and daily scripture readings in Inuktitut for each day of the year. When this work is complete, the entire Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer, Compline, and Family Prayer services, together with the collects and the Litany, will be available in syllabics in the app!
